There are no eating restrictions before the blood draw.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Two items, BNP and troponin I, which are markers of ischemic heart disease such as heart failure and myocardial infarction, are measured. These two markers enable the detection of underlying heart disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u30fbCarotid Ultrasonography (Carotid Echography)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">About 10 to 15 minutes. The carotid artery is an important blood vessel that carries blood to the brain. The carotid artery has a site called the carotid bifurcation, which is prone to arteriosclerosis. Ultrasound is focused on this part to check the degree of arteriosclerosis of the carotid artery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u30fbCAVI (Cardio-ankle vascular index) test<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">5 to 10 minutes. You will be measured the blood pressure and pulse wave of both arms and ankles while lying on your back.
