Gastrointestinal Surgery

Content of medical treatment

We mainly treat gastrointestinal diseases and general surgical diseases that require surgery. We actively introduce laparoscopy for malignant tumors (gastrointestinal cancer), general surgery such as hernia, and emergency surgery such as acute abdomen to perform minimally invasive surgery. The number of surgeries after the move in 2017 has doubled from the previous year. Taking advantage of being a medium-sized hospital in the region, we aim to provide treatment that can be completed in the region by responding quickly and flexibly to outpatients, examinations, and surgeries.

We also actively perform preoperative and postoperative chemotherapy (anticancer drugs) and treatment for recurrence and metastasis. The new hospital also has an outpatient chemotherapy room, allowing outpatient treatment. Since the relocation of the hospital, the number of patients requiring chemotherapy has increased significantly as the number of surgeries for gastrointestinal cancer has increased. We decide treatment methods and schedules while flexibly responding to each patient’s lifestyle and medical condition.

At our hospital, in cooperation with Gastrointestinal Medicine, we provide surgical treatment and catheterization to improve symptoms and maintain quality of life for those who have been diagnosed as unresectable or whose disease has progressed.
