Heart-Health Screening

If you are worried about arteriosclerosis or have heart disease in your family, why not take a heart-health screening at our hospital? We will consult after the examination and explain the results on the same day.

【Test Items】
・Blood Draw
About 5 minutes. There are no eating restrictions before the blood draw.
Two items, BNP and troponin I, which are markers of ischemic heart disease such as heart failure and myocardial infarction, are measured. These two markers enable the detection of underlying heart disease.

・Carotid Ultrasonography (Carotid Echography)
About 10 to 15 minutes. The carotid artery is an important blood vessel that carries blood to the brain. The carotid artery has a site called the carotid bifurcation, which is prone to arteriosclerosis. Ultrasound is focused on this part to check the degree of arteriosclerosis of the carotid artery.

・CAVI (Cardio-ankle vascular index) test
5 to 10 minutes. You will be measured the blood pressure and pulse wave of both arms and ankles while lying on your back. With this test, the hardness of the arteries, the degree of clogging of the arteries, and the age of the blood vessels are detected.
