Greetings/Vision

Greeting from Chairman

Medical Corporation Hakuhokai
Chairman Motohisa KOJO

Tokyo Hikifune Hospital has a long history as Shirahigebashi Hospital since before WWII. In 2017 we moved to the new location adjacent to Tobu Railway Hikifune Station. In addition to the emergency medical care and disaster medical care we have been focusing on, we are further enhancing acute phase medical care of cardiology, orthopedics, and neurosurgery.

In order to prepare for the aging society, we run Belair Mukojima Support Center for the Elderly, Shirahige home nursing station, Life Support Nurse Mukojima, a multi-functional nursing office, and a community comprehensive support center.

Please hope for the future of Tokyo Hikifune Hospital.

Greetings from the Director

Tokyo Hikifune Hospital
Director Yasuhiro YAMAMOTO

For more than 80 years, Shirahigebashi Hospital, the predecessor of Tokyo Hikifune Hospital, has made efforts in the fields of emergency medicine and community medicine, in terms of the number of ambulances it accepted, and as the last stronghold of acute care in the Joto area. However, the hospital premises faced serious problems with earthquake resistance, narrowness, and aging, therefore we moved to the neighboring Hikifune area.

The new hospital opened in April 2017 as Tokyo Hikifune Hospital, a 200-bed acute stage-type hospital located at Hikifune Station on the Tobu Skytree Line. As a secondary emergency medical institution designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, a disaster center hospital, and a Tokyo DMAT-designated hospital, we continue to do our best to build a safe and secure medical system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Looking ahead to the near future, where the comprehensive community care system will be in full swing and the declining birthrate and aging population will continue to progress, we will also focus on the medical and nursing care fields, such as health facilities for the elderly. We would like to have closer cooperation with medical organizations and local medical associations.

Group Vision

Equal medical care, equal caregiving

Hospital Mission

As a high-performing hospital, we will work to contribute to regional healthcare.
Specifically, we conduct medical services based on the following three pillars.
  1. As a secondary emergency hospital designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we provide high-quality emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  2. As a designated hospital of Tokyo DMAT, Japan DMAT, TokyoJMAT, and AMAT, we have a large number of medical crews, and dispatch the crews to major disaster sites in Japan to provide medical support.
  3.  In addition to the elderly healthcare facilities and home-visit nursing stations owned by the same group, we will further strengthen cooperation with local medical associations and practitioners to develop community-based healthcare.

Patient Rights and Responsibilities

  1.  Patients can receive the best and most acceptable medical care fairly and equitably.
  2. Patients can receive sufficient explanations and information until they are satisfied with their disease, treatment, examination, and prospects.
  3. Patients can consent to, choose, or refuse treatment, tests, or other medical interventions after receiving a sufficient explanation.
  4. Patients can choose a medical institution and seek the opinion (second opinion) of a doctor at another medical institution.
  5. Patients’ personal medical information and privacy are protected.
  6. To ensure that all patients receive appropriate medical care, patients have a responsibility to take care not to interfere with the medical care of other patients or medical care provided by hospital staff.
